I took my beautiful bride to the Boathouse for her birthday and everything was amazing. We ordered the beef and Port Bleu as an appetizer...the beef tips were tender and tasty and paired with a large portobello mushroom top and sauce. It was delicious! We had the Filet minion and smoked salmon fettuchinne...both dishes were incredible. The filet melted in your mouth topped with bleu cheese and vegetables. Very good! The smoke salmon fettuchinne was delicious...creamy sauce with smoked salmon bits mixed in. Berry cobbler for dessert. Perfect evening!

Very underwhelming place. Ordered the calamari which was decent. Our wine and beer was good. My husband ordered the sunset burger, which he said was boring and the Gouda cheese was very weird. I ordered the halibut fish and chips- they came out so greasy and inedible. Our server was not in a rush in any way possible. I asked for salt and pepper and never received it. They took my halibut off the bill. You are paying for the location ( on the lake) and that's about it. Won't go back.

A perfect evening and delicious dinner. I had the Greek Salad (100% fresh veggies from local farmers) and my two dinner mates had the Bison-Elk Meatloaf that was amazingly delicious. I just ordered Peach Flambé for dessert. Chef Christopher came out twice - such a nice and thoughtful touch. The Boathouse Rocks!

With one of the best chefs (Christopher Vane - Google him) in the country (yes, I mean in the whole U.S. of A.) cooking in this extraordinary new & exceedingly elegant restaurant on Big Lake, this is not your daddy's boathouse! Y'all come on down and enjoy some of the best white king salmon and pork loin you'll ever eat, served by some of the nicest waitstaff you'll ever meet. My husband & I are kind of extreme foodies and really would give this place 10 stars if we could. Thus was our first time eating here. We will be back again & again!

I am filled with gratitude for our Boat House dinner experience. All the food was fabulous - from crisp house salad to chefs special halibut and salmon with fresh veggies. The staff was friendly, attentive and had great stories of local life. The setting on the deck made us feel like we were eating in a postcard - so beautiful!

This was absolutely the worst dining experience we have ever had in Alaska in 30 years! We waited two hours for food that was served to someone else. Avoid this restaurant at all costs!
